hmmm... getting down to it.. to say that Im new to this blogging business wudnt b exactly true..
to say that i did it once but sumhow managed to forget my password wud me more appropriate ..hehe
buttt... m free now.. nthg much to do..lots of time on hands to kill... jus done with a particularly smooth sailing intvw at a B school... (atleast i thk it was that ways :) ..the work at office isnt exactly a mind churner..n as it goes ..an empty mind is a devils workshop.. so here I am.. sitting
in front of my system.. typing in the outpourings of a thoughtlessly thoughtful mind.. :)..
hmm.. have come a long way ...has been an year n a half since i first landed in 0000 , Pune ... (no i have not gone mad n the knots dun name the s/w cmpny I work for.....jus a precaution in case sumbdy frm the "0000"FBI follows my blog.. :D.. )
all fresh n eager n spirited to give it my best shot.. i guess thats one thg thats common to all ppl straight out of college into the job... u thk the world's ur oyster ..:))... i see the same freshness
of spirit in most of the campus hires i encounter in office now :)...
but sumhow the dream starts falling apart... loads of boring , repetitive work , mountains of emails to sift through everyday, more than half of which don't make a hell lot of sense ..endless conference calls n yeah most of all..that niggling sense of loss... loss of an identity.. lost in the nameless , faceless crowd ..with just the company tag as the common cause.... the employee id being the only differentiator!!
m i begining to sound too frustarted??..i thk i m..so i'll move on without pitying myself all the more..
hmm..so what next?.. u think.. what is that that will give me back my identity...a cause again...
n the sensible n not so radically outlandish poor u starts thking..i actually dont have a lot to choose frm.. :(.. its either an MBA or an MS ... n if u r not exactly a tech geek (in that case u wudnt b that unhappy too...ull b happily typing lines n lines of code nyday.!!)..then that leaves u with jus a single option.. the coveted and elusive mgmt degree... ur so-called ticket to freedom from drudgeville!!
Aha... Eureka.. u smile n make a beeline for it.... what goes into the journey of trying to make it there..(not that i know the end :) ..)...well that makes for another blog...some other time ..provided I manage to remember the password this time.. :D.

Good work!!!first comment on your first written blog!!!
keep going...
i must say nice blog, and even more nicely put up..but don't think that you are alone with this kinda thought.there are many who are also worried about the plight of beggars, and not only beggars but many other physically challegned...but i must also comment that, leaving aside govt., we should think as to what and how are we contributing to improve their condition...ask yourself..'what am i doing for all this?' don't say 'what can i do'..if you really wanna do something you definitely will figure out something..to give you an example - i personally have been involved with 2 NGOs for last around 4 months, one of them working out of Bangalore, another at Kolkata. Without going into what all have I done, I would only say I am happy with whatever little I am able to contribute. You might also think 'lemme complete my MBA - then I will do something for these people' but believe me, if you gotta do something, you gotta start now, and now means now..
coule relate to : mountains of emails to sift through everyday, loss of an identity.. lost in the nameless , faceless crowd ..with just the company tag as the common cause.... the employee id being the only differentiator!!
But, I was reading this, a thought did strike me! is MBA / MS a way to get anyone's identity back? I thought fighting for values was the most important thing. But, it seems QLC does strike many ppl and few get lost and few dont!..
Keep blogging!
